After months of excruciating pains, palpitations, breathing difficulties
and night sweats, I began to notice loss of energy during the day and falling asleep at odd times. I also noticed
remarkable enlargements in my neck and jaw areas, which made me, look very robust and plump. These occurrences coincided with
my yearly routine and I promptly made these complaints to the doctor. I was referred to the hospital where, a diagnosis of
Non Hodgkin’s lymphoma was confirmed. My level of physical activity had become too sedentary for my physical health.
Like all immigrants that had become accustomed to western diets and lifestyles, my susceptibility to organ degeneration had
increased. ‘I thought the big “C” means a death sentence. The cancer of the lymph nodes is one of
the most aggressive lymphomas with malignant tendencies. Many people with lymphoma have no symptoms until it has advanced
to its late stages. Through the lymph nodes, it can spread to other organs. Lymphoma typically spread to the liver,
the brain and the bones where symptoms appear as headaches, night sweats, fatigue, nausea, seizures, vomiting and pain.
The difficulty and delay in diagnosing lymphoma, the ambiguity of the symptoms and the lack of early detection mean that for
many people, a diagnosis is a death sentence. Non- Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) is the most common cancer of the lymphatic
system according to the lymphoma research foundation’.
Starting chemotherapy
I started a chemotherapy regimen that was expected to last about five months. About three months into therapy, I suddenly
went into coma as a reaction to the drugs and the doctors discovered I had developed Hepatitis B, liver failure and end stage
liver cirrhosis with less than 10% functional liver capacity left. This makes it impossible for me to continue chemotherapy.
While I lingered in coma, my wife would dutifully show up at the hospital each morning at about 4’o clock dressed as
if she was going to my home going or homecoming. Often, she will not leave until after midnight. We consoled ourselves with
the words of country singer Naomi Judd-‘Don’t allow your pain to be a prison, broadened your horizons and made
your illness a prism through which you see a higher calling and a new beginning. It is important to step out in faith, pray
the answer instead of the problem, live beyond the immediate physical circumstances and strived to pray for hope’. Things
got so stirred up inside my body that the cancer, cirrhosis and Hepatitis B were in a progressive state and there was really
nothing left to do but to get my affairs in order. We stood on the bible’s scripture- Psalm 118:17 that say ‘you
shall not die but live to declare the work of the lord’. Consequently, we have devoted our life to doing just that.
. I became an orphaned patient medically. Having a blind faith in the doctors and the medical system puts me in
this precarious situation’. Trust must be expected not earned. I developed a new disease called iatrogenic disease.
It is defined as ‘induced inadvertently by a physician or surgeon or by medical treatment of diagnostic procedures’.
In an article published in the Journal of American Medical association by Dr Barbara Starfield of the John Hopkins School
Of Hygiene And Public Health, She noted that ‘250,000 people die every year in the United States due to doctor’s
errors’
The doctors indicated that if
I had gotten to the hospital ten minutes late, I would have died. Sick, tired and painfully aware that we had hit the bottom
my wife and I turned to the only option left –God. We prayed to God to intervene and to show us what to
do and God led us from the valley to the hilltop- a remarkable recovery. We veered from the path of conventional medicine
to a trail that led to naturopathy. We realized that the current health care model was built on emergency and interventional
medicine during crises. During wars, or outbreaks of epidemic outbreaks, the tools of surgery, antibiotics and drugs were
life savers. Ironically in times of peace, people don’t end up in doctor’s office with emergency crises but with
misalignments that had become chronic and organic after long standing violations of nature.
My journey through life support
I was put on a ventilator and was intubated to secure the airway after suffering anoxic neuro damage .I had
a cascade of chemical activities from reactions that open the gates for toxic reactions hence my systemic liver, lung and
kidney collapse. If thing were no done medically to reverse this trend, I would have ended up in a vegetative state in 8 to
10 minutes. I was put on life support; I could neither talk nor blink, and in a state referred to as Catatonic state,
with only the severely compromised brain ticking away. My algorithms were very erratic on the monitor. I was on
life support and a tube was inserted will to access his lungs to see if miracle can happen as soon as I arrived in the hospital
because my airway would have been compromised by the time I got to the hospital. I was artificially kept alive as long as
my heart is still registering on the monitor, no matter how poor my algorithm was. I was dead and alive at the same time expecting
a miraculous comeback.
I was in a Persistent
Vegetative State (PVS). This is a condition where an individual in a state of coma is alive but unable to move or respond
to his or her environment. The doctors indicated that I lost higher cognitive functioning and have about less than 20% chance
of getting one-third of my brain function back. In this condition, my thinking abilities and awareness of my surroundings,
to time and persons is lost. Only my non-cognitive function and normal sleep patterns are retained. My body is maintaining
only the basic functioning of breathing and circulation and the ventilator and dialysis. I exhibited some behaviors construed
as consciousness, such as grinding of his teeth, swallowing, smiling, shedding tears, grunting, moaning or screaming without
reason.”From a medical standpoint, my prognosis is poor. Most individuals in coma and PVS condition for more than three
weeks most likely never regain physical and intellectual awareness. The patients that do come out of this condition are younger
individuals between the ages of 12 and 35 years.
‘There is a clinical condition I had called Multiple Organ Dysfunction Syndrome (MODS), defined as the presence of
altered organ function in acutely ill patients such that homeostasis cannot be maintained without intervention. It usually
involves two or more organ systems. Prognosis gets worse with increasing number of affected organs. Outcome for patients with
this condition is predicted using a model called the MODS score. The MODS score has been validated over the years and widely
utilized in intensive care units (ICU). It is based on the function of six key organs, namely the pulmonary/lungs, kidney,
heart, central nervous system, blood (platelet count) and liver. With Multiple Organ Dysfunction syndrome, I had got to a
point beyond conventional medical salvage’ and tied to life support gadgets:I could move or make any form of communication
because of the tubes in my throat and though my nasal septum and the following life supports
accessories:A pick line is a venous port made under anesthesia for the intravenous administration of blood and drugs into
a patient .A port was made on me because I was taking too many medications intravenously and there were already too many scars
on my arms from constant poking for blood. Both my elbows were like that of a drug addict. My kidney function had drastically
slowed down from toxic overload that resulted from the drugs I took and the inability of my liver to break down toxins for
the kidney to excrete. My digestive system had shut down from impacted colon and the inability of the liver to secrete digestive
enzymes. I was permanently constipated. A colonoscopy showed diverticular and complete stasis of my colon. My liver had shut
down from toxic overload and viral attack.
As the battle rages After two weeks in the intensive care unit, the doctors concluded
I have Hepatic encephalopathy and liver cirrhosis caused by a multitude of the medications I was using- a medical
mistake. We thank our doctors for trying because according to Albert Einstein- a person who never made a mistake never
tried anything. Hepatic encephalopathy was caused because my liver could not completely metabolize all the medications I was
taking and the intermediate nitrogenous waste began to accumulate in my brain tissue and lead to my depression and mental
disorientations. These bouts of depression and disorientations clearly disqualified me from recombinant interferon therapy-a
blessing in disguise.Chemotherapy destroyed my liver.Medically my liver was irreparable damaged by Tylenol, cholesterol lowering
drugs and chemotherapy drugs especially Rituxan can which cause serious side effects, some of which can be life-threatening,
including: progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML), infusion reactions, tumor lysis syndrome (TLS), and severe skin
reactions. Other serious and life-threatening side effects with Rituxan include: hepatitis B virus reactivation, heart problems,
infections, and stomach and bowel problems. Common side effects during Rituxan infusions include: fever, headache, chills
and shakes, nausea, itching, hives, cough, sneezing, and throat irritation or tightness.
Developing
complications from chemotherapy
My immunity was brought to the lowest ebb. I had developed hepatic coma, caused
by end stage liver disease. This makes it impossible for me to continue chemotherapy and my prognosis for a normal life was
poor. By the time I woke up from coma, my liver had shut down and my weight had ballooned from 175 pounds
to 350 pounds of water weight due to my inability to synthesize albumin, a protein that help maintain water balance in the
body. My knees ankles elbows and wrists had become very swollen. My eyes became very yellow and ‘I became totally yellow
like deli mustard’. My abdominal distention caused me shortness of breath. I had appetite for no form of food. I passed
out blood from my urine, my nostrils, and my rear end coupled with hemorrhoids. I had constant constipation; scaly skin and
my skin bled easily. By then I was on wheel chair lacking physical strength or vigor.
Developing
liver cirrhosis Liver cirrhosis is a process where an otherwise jellylike healthy liver becomes stony and hard
with scar .If untreated it progresses to hepatocellular carcinoma, a malignant form of liver cancer and
one of the fastest growing types of cancer judging by the extensive visualization (blood supply) of the liver. In addition
to the cirrhosis, I had developed pre- cancerous cyst all over my liver which required me to be on cancer surveillance for
the rest of my life. The liver clinic would not admit because of the unresolved cancer and high viral loads.
If about 85% of the liver stops functioning, all the organs in the body would eventually deteriorate.Fulminant Hepatic failure
has about 15% survival rate. Chemotherapy robbed me of my liver and my immunity to illness.
Developing adverse reactions to prescribed medications In the spring of 2004, I started having serious side effects from the drugs I was prescribed. I was getting more lethargic
from the water pills and I was urinating more than 9 times daily. I had numbness in all my extremities which the doctor called
peripheral neuropathy. I was on fluid restriction and was having serious headaches, dizziness and painful breast enlargements
after taking the diuretics. I also discovered that I was bleeding upon urination. I also bleed easily while using the bathroom.
My dentitions became very weak and my gingivitis became so profound that when my wife brushed my teeth in the mornings, it
was as if blood was gushing out of my mouth. I was always thirsty but was restricted to less than 1 Liter of water daily
(about two and a half glasses of water) and put on a salt free diet as salt would facilitate fluid retentions.
When things went out of controll Things became completely out of control and my
wife devised a plan to get me into liver clinic. With my condition critical, she rushed me to the hospital emergency room.
This was how I was admitted into the liver clinic. I went through lots of transfusions with platelets, plasma, red blood cells
and other clotting factors. My abdomen was so distended that the fluids were pressing on my lungs and I was having breathing
difficulties. I developed haital and umbilical hernia due to weaken abdominal muscles. The fact that
all the drugs I was using are contraindicated in people with end stage liver disease puts me between the rock and the hard
place. I had become tired of being sick and sick of being tired and having lost hope in conventional medicine, I
realized that I needed to become my medical detective in other to live any further. We spent precious time asking the wrong
people the right questions
The way foward We got to a point that we want to stop growing in illness and start growing in
health. We wanted to turn our adversity in adventure, to appreciate instead of depreciate. Medically I had reached a
point of no return but spiritually I had reached God’s turning point. It had become evident that my health would not
come from the doctors capsules. I was medically hopeless but divinely hopeful. I had fallen into the non-responsive category.
We had no other alternative but alternative remedies. Faith had thrown us from the path of orthodox medicine to the trail
of herbal medicine. Food power and faith complemented available orthodox therapy with active participation of health care
practitioners that are sympathetic to alternative remedies. We realized that the drugs never healed me because my body
never recognized them- only like can heal like.Though the drugs I used cured my symptoms. Cure and care are derived from the
Latin root word –to take care of while treat is also derived from old French root meaning to deal with of manage a particular
condition toward some logical end. But conventional ‘Cure’, is the suppression of symptoms-the body’s warning
signs that something is wrong. - Like cutting a red light signal wire to a car engine. We know that conventional remedies
are palliative while nature heals. Ironically, millions who rely exclusively on orthodox medicine die prematurely because
they treat their symptoms and never healed their bodies.Adverse reactions to orthodox drugs and the down turn of their
physical conditions accelerates their transition
My determination 'I was determined
to figure out what else I could do to enhance the long-term effectiveness of these conventional treatments and fully recover
physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually by identifying and changing various aspects of my lifestyle. The challenge
that I accepted for myself was to see if I could put together alternative remedies, looking for the best ingredients that
conventional oncology therapy had to offer and complementing it with additional therapies from the uncharted world of "naturopathy".
I wanted to try to "tweak my fate", tipping the scales in my favor for both fighting the disease and achieving the
optimal health possible’- a gamble that paid off.
With only a rudimentary knowledge of herbs, I began
a frantic research process of testing herbal formulas, alternative lifestyles and healing food combinations using my body
as the guinea pig. I read voraciously about herbal healing. Family friends helped me shop for herbs and I began to formulate
the many herbal combinations that would eventually save my life. I was amazed as I watched my body restore itself back to
life and wholeness, with my viral loads becoming undetectable, the lymphoma that were the size of grape fruits reduced to
non-pathological peanut sizes. I went on to aquire a diploma in herbal medicine, a doctor of philosophy in holistic nutrition
and a doctorate in natural health from the Claton College Of Natural Health. These were in addition to my doctorate and fellowships
degrees in optomerty.
Doing nothing,not an option
My wife and I didn’t just
have to lie back for me to die and for her, doing nothing was not an option. As Alexander Graham Bell puts it –sometimes
we stare so long at a door that is closing that we see too late the one that is opening. She insisted that we deal with my
illness as a family- for better or for worse. Getting my mind and body in a condition that would defy and eliminate illness
became our priority. We explored all alternative options available as inaction on her part could be deadly. Inspired by the
sayings of the famous Chinese physician, Shin-huang-it – “it is the diet which maintain true health that becomes
the best drug”, we began to look at a wide varieties of alternatives. While all orthodox efforts were directed
towards the germs, no effort had been directed towards my health.-the care of my disease had taken precedence over my health
care. Our independent research revealed that originator of modern day germ theory of disease Louis Pasteur recounted these
conventional practices to disease management on his death bed with the following words-“I have been wrong, the germ
is nothing, the terrain is everything”-the terrain being the human body. Knowing that our words make our world, my wife
used those words to redirect her focus on my health and strengthen the terrains of my body. She decided to take the drivers
sit and refocus her emphasis on my immunological defenses and taking active role in my health instead of her blind faith in
the doctors. She started asking questions. We found out that viruses are like criminals, they don’t have jurisdictional
alliance and like all diseases, they succumb to the laws of healthy living.
Each patient carries his own doctor inside him. We are at our best when we give the doctor who resides
within a chance to go to work-Nobel Laureate Albert Schweitzer
Blessed to be a blessing
We
believe that there is a limit to how far you poison yourself to health with drugs- a diminishing return on your health. Anybody
can have an excellent health if they go after it rightfully. By helping others stay healthy we maintain our health. The same
power that held the universe together in an orderly fashion can bring order to our body because we are all individually “a
mini universe”. Helping others regain order from inside out instead of from the outside is our ultimate goal. We believe
with all certainty that when alternative remedies compliment orthodox remedies, the sick benefits. We do not just want to
show others a method to heal their illness but show them the principles of healing. We want to bring attention to the severity
of degenerative diseases world wide having found that sugar coating doesn’t work for people with degenerative disease.
We want to communicate personally to people in the language they can understand and share our new found light with others
because as James Keller puts it- a candle looses nothing of its light by lighting another candle. Ironically a lot of people
go to early graves before they turn around and get their acts together. We want people to live a health conscious lifestyle
and once they have degenerative disease, they are at risk of developing complications as long as they live. ‘You don’t
go and get medicine and say you are cured’. Keep your guard up all the time. Organ degeneration is not a death sentence
and as long as we make the necessary changes,it becomes a life experience. You can be empowered also
You may be
among the teeming population with chronic degenerative disease, we offer you natural alternative to compliment your doctor’s
efforts. We look forwards to the day when medical therapy for liver diseases will combine the best of alternative and convention
remedy and demonstrate how a mutually beneficial relationship between orthodox and natural therapies for the good of the patient.
We want serve as inspiration to others and hope our story help people to put a face on hepatitis, liver cirrhosis and cancer;
not a victim's face because we am not victims survivors. I am the guy I was before except I walk around with scarred
liver. Because God had moved me from the valley of the shadow of death to the hilltop of health, I want to be a positive influence
on people with positive attitude despite significant ordeals I encountered. The dept and maturity generated from my travails
had helped me put a perspective on life and made me master my conditions. As John Gardner puts it, mastery is not something
that strikes in an instant, like a thunderbolt, but a gathering power that moves steadily through time, like weather
Developing a workable formular
With my wife’s help, I kept a detailed
diary that recorded treatment dates, doctors visits, reactions and adverse reactions to medications and treatments, test dates
with doctors names, and copies of test results, telephone numbers of any and all staff involved and any other detail. For
us a positive outlooks is just as important as due diligence over the medical aspects of our ordeal. We surrounded ourselves
with positive people who kept our spirits up. We fought fear with information. The right information at the right time, inspiration
and support network were critical to our triumph over these tragedies. Since the command center of the immune system
is in the lymphatic system, a proper knowledge of the workings of this system is critical to your healing.
In understanding
the principles behind the the remedies we offer, you should be able to devise a workable formula that suite you lifestyle.
As Ralph Waldo Emerson puts it-if you learn only methods, you will forever be tied to those methods, if you learn the principle
behind those methods, you’ll be free to devise your own method and become the master of your destiny and the author
of your experience. The echoes of those kind words are truly endless in my life and we think you should be able to do the
following with this information. It is when we resolve the issues in our tissues and work on our mental disposition to illness
can resolution emerge.
'Each
man is his own absolute law-giver; the dispenser of glory or gloom to himself, the decreer of his life, his reward and his
punishment’-Yogi Ramacharaka
We believe as Claude Bernard puts it that “Illnesses hover constantly
above us, their seeds blown by winds, but they do not set in the terrain unless the terrain is ready to receive them”.
And there are people who understood that healing will occur naturally in the human body, if it is given what it truly needs.
We want to inspire conversations about cancer and infective hepatitis and the prevalence of liver disease and
to show the spread of the disease that had grown to Pandemic proportion. Even though there had been advances in modern medicine
we think complimentary alternative remedies will improve the quality of life’s of people with liver and contagious diseases
that is having a devastating impart on Americans. If you have been told that you have a few month to life we want to reassure
you that we have been there and that you have no expiration date as the road to health and happiness is always under construction.
We have tenured jobs on that road and like prodigal children we can all partner on this joyous road. When one in one hundred
thousand people have a truly functional liver, we think we had reached a critical point in health care that we begin to have
a genuine dialogue about organ degeneration.
When a burden become a blessing Since my recovery, I had developed a manual that show patients the ways and means of the liver and how liver health can
be regained with easy to understand remedies. This website is in response to patients who have benefited from my teaching
manual and their desire to have this information available to the general public. My income and wealth, is increasingly independent
of my time and effort. We have received thousands of testimonials from individuals who have benefited tremendously from our
liver regeneration manual. Since the information is for layman, technical terms are avoided except where the meaning would
be obscured by their omission. The indulgence of the scientifically trained reader is asked if at times scientific processes
are explained in rather homely terms and by their use of unscientific illustration on the ground that this monograph is intended
to lead its readers into a clear understanding of diseases. We aim to emphasize lifestyles and attitudinal changes as adjunct
to alternative and orthodox remedies. You efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction- John F. Kennedy.
We wish you better health with no pills and the grace to outlive your diagnosis. We pray that the remaining
of your days will be the best you ever had

According
to Shé D'Montford, Shambhallah, from Australia ‘The human body "WILL HEAL"... If we get out of our
own way and allow it, it heals itself. It is our basic nature. Anybody who tells you other than that is trying to sell you
something. No matter what you have been told. Don't give up on yourself and don't buy into the lines like ... ‘oh well
you've had a good life'... 'at your age'... and the worst of all ...'there's nothing further I can do, I suggest you finalize
your affairs'... How dare anyone tell you to give up! So much in society combines to convince us of the propaganda that some
things never get better. It's up to you ... do you want to get better? Make things better? It is human nature to make things
better, evolve and grow.”
